COMPLIANCE & RISK ASSESSMENT
Gumfoot provides a range of services to clients in the area of compliance and risk management. These include organizational systems reviews, organizational capacity assessments, governance and management reviews and reviews of donor funding instruments. Gumfoot also provides interim general management services for NGOs and advisory services in support of internal audit and other management and compliance functions for international donors and not for profit organizations. Recent work has included reviews of public financial management and NGO systems in Tanzania, of governance and management systems of non profits in Ireland and of grant management systems in Zambia and Mozambique.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION
Gumfoot provides M&E support to donor organizations. Work in this area has included in person monitoring of social safety net and food value chain programmes in Ethiopia, Kenya and The Gambia and remote monitoring of health, livelihoods and other interventions in Nepal, Malawi and Tanzania.
TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING
Gumfoot provides a range of training and capacity building services. These include training and accompaniment in core business areas such as compliance, risk management and monitoring & evaluation in international development, as well as bespoke training in good governance, conflict, development & security, understanding humanitarian action, and financial management. Gumfoot also offers facilitation services in support of participative approaches to strategy and organizational development, including mid term and annual review processes.
RESEARCH SUPPORT
Gumfoot provides a range of research support services. These include research design and implementation in support of international development and humanitarian activities, and support in crafting funding proposals for social science research applications to institutional donors, including the European Union. Gumfoot also has extensive experience in applied research in the international development and educational sectors
